Get atleast 6 hours of sleep prior to check-up.
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes (you may be required to perform an exercise stress test).
Do not eat/drink at least 10 – 12 hours prior to check-up. You can drink water to avoid dehydration effects on blood sugar and cholesterol tests.
Do not drink alcohol 48 hours prior to appointment as drugs/alcohol may affect some tests.
Medication for hypertension can be continued as per doctor’s prescription.
Bring any prior test results/medical reports for any chronic illness or health problems to assist in diagnosis.
Avoid health check-up 7 days before/after menstrual period. Blood in urine will affect the results of Urine analysis.
Avoid Digital Mammogram for breast cancer screening during menstrual period as the breasts are sensitive during this time. (Mammography applicable only for 40 years and above).
Bring previous x-ray/medical records (especially if positive) if you want to compare the findings. If pregnant, please inform staff to cancel the x-ray.
The entire procedure is between 3-4 hours depending on the tests included in the package.
Lack of sleep may cause abnormal results such as blood pressure, heart beat, and body temperature. The doctor may not be able to assess if any change is a real abnormality.
