Job description of Nephrologists

Education Qualifications: MBBS from MCI recognized college. MD in Internal medicine followed by 3 year training in Nephrology from India, USA, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Medical Knowledge:
1. Should be competent in diagnosing and treating kidney related diseases, evaluating patients, including paediatric patients, performing kidney transplants and administering dialysis treatment

Registrar in Anaesthesia

For Anaesthesia:
Take care of PAC Patients
To Assist the Consultant in procedures as & when required.
To handle all specialty related Emergencies
Is responsible for attending to patients on call in all units
To Assist Consultants in clinical work
Will take the necessary action during code blue, code red etc.
Is responsible for patient care during the night as and when assigned
Will take care of the patients pre op, during procedures, post – op, in recovery etc and follow up on the same

Medical Officer - Columbia Asia Hospital Bangalore


Emergency medical services (including resuscitation, stabilization and assessment and diagnosis, treatment and referral as necessary);
Assess the urgency and severity of issues through history taking, examination and investigation.
Recommending and, where appropriate, undertaking treatment options and carrying out/referring for appropriate interventions and procedures, including but not limited to prescribing, minor surgery and other general practice procedures, counselling, psychological interventions, advising and education.

Key areas of responsibility (KRA): To assist and oversee clinical aspects under the Chief of Medical Services (CMS).Main Job Tasks Under Supervision Financial Responsibilities
Assist the Chief of Medical Services in target oriented budget allocation for the clinical department with regard to equipment purchase/ up gradation, manpower allocation and development of clinical programs. Shall help the Chief of Medical Services by interaction, independently, with end users for information gathering regarding equipment requirement
Customer Responsibilities

Registrar - OBG

  1. Under the direct supervision of the Consultant, Registrars are responsible for the in-patient and out-patient management of patients in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
  2. Shares the responsibility for Antenatal Care, Labour Ward cover, Gynaecological Out-Patient Clinics, Theatre sessions and emergency duties.
  3. Responsibility for administrative duties (e.g. review of results of investigations, patient records) which arise as a consequence of these clinical duties.

Registrar / Jr. Consultant - Intensive Care

  1. Under the direct supervision of the Specialty Primary Consultant and Intensivist, Registrars are responsible for care of the patient in the adult ICU of all levels including HDU, CICU and Transplant ICU
  2. Carry out procedures within capabilities under supervision including emergency duties outside the Intensive Care Unit.
  3. Responsibility for administrative duties (e.g. review of results of investigations, patient records) which arise as a consequence of these clinical duties.

OBG Registrar / Jr. Consultant
